I know i have been praising the good people at Fresh Origins over and over again , but with product so fresh , clean, beautiful and flavorful its hard not to have them as a point of reference … The Stevia i got from fresh origins was something i was not familiar with… I had a slight pleasant but overwhelmingly sweet experience by chewing a couple of leafs to try it out…Well a little bit too sweet …But what can i do to use this?
Well Lately i been upgrading my “booze”. And my booze should be interesting and thanks to the good gods of culinary wisdom and their representatives (like Shola Olunloyo from studiokitchen ) i said you know i play with food but i have never played with booze . At least on a entry level since i have not played with the concept of making cocktails..
We love Mojitos and we have Mint Growing just for that … Good Rum , Mint right out of the planter and superfine sugar( well in this case stevia and stevia extract in powder form) , club soda… You done…
10-15 mint leaves
1/2 Lime + garnish
Stevia 8 sprigs + Stevia Extract powder 1/2 tsp at a time
1&1/2 oz to 2oz of Bacardi or Rum of choice
Club soda about 1 cup
To make the drink you will need a muddle to work the herbs in the glass… All you have to do is place the Herbs in glass and using the muddle “bruise” the herbs… Add lime fresh squeezed , the booze, club soda, 1/2 tsp of stevia powder and ice… Stir and taste… If you want your drink with more kick add 1/2 oz more Rum… If you would like it sweeter add some stevia powder 1/2 tsp at a time (it dissolves great)….
Its a great refreshing drink for the summer… And a great way to enjoy a sunny day with friends …
Thanks again to FRESH ORIGINS for introducing me to another great product….
